About Courtney

Courtney Long is a contemporary saxophonist and music theorist who teaches at Wichita State University. Her work focuses on exploring modern repertoire and connecting analytical ideas to create expressive, intentional performance. Outside of music, Courtney shares her home with her beloved basset hounds and enjoys cultivating native gardens. These interests reflect her appreciation for patience, curiosity, and the beauty of things that grow over time.
